Join our Impact Leader Community on an Immersive Service Trip to Greater New Orleans
November 9-12th, 2022
A select group of Baltimore leaders will embark on a 4-day immersive trip to Houma, LA, rebuilding communities and homes devastated by Hurricane Ida in August 2021.
While immersed in the Louisiana culture, leaders will build life-long meaningful connections with other Baltimore impact leaders.
From: Baltimore's Impact Leader Community
As we emerge from a global pandemic, we are discovering a new normal. We are reconfiguring what the world, our jobs, and our lives look like – and, perhaps more accurately, what we want them to look like. We are aligning our values, examining our relationships, and evaluating where we spend our time and energy. We are craving authenticity. We are craving community.
That’s where From: Baltimore’s Impact Leader Community comes in. This is an intentional, Baltimore-based group of people who work in impact-oriented professions - from leaders in corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and philanthropy, to those working in nonprofits, B Corps, public service, and social enterprises. In the best of times, impact work is hard. It takes belief and tireless commitment. It takes energy, resources, and time. In the worst of times, it’s isolated and lonely. What’s missing is a place to come together, re-experience real community impact, and cultivate a network of like-minded individuals.

"Baltimore is the best place
in the world, to change the world."

This November 9-12th, we’re kicking off with a Social Impact Experience in Houma, Louisiana (1-hour outside of New Orleans) where we will partner with Rebuilding Together New Orleans, Catholic Charities, & SBP to rebuild homes devastated by Hurricane Ida (Aug ‘21).
This experience will serve as a space to build authentic relationships while we practice transformative volunteering and bring energy to our work. Whether you’re a social impact professional who’s new to the field, energized, and raring to go, or if you’re an impact veteran who is tired, burnt out, and feeling alone – this experience is intended for you. Baltimore needs you, and we need each other.

Additionally, there is a cafeteria and common space for programming and hanging out.
The retreat center itself sits on 50 acres of land covered with beautiful moss-covered cypress trees. There are ponds, walking trails and picturesque sunsets.
